Chers amis Cinquocinquistes,
Suite à l’Assemblée Générale de la 505 Class Internationale qui s’est déroulée à Kiel lors du Championnat du Monde, nous avons été mandatés pour organiser un vote, au niveau de la France, sur des propositions d’évolutions de la Jauge.
Comme il s’agit de points techniques, nous avons sollicité nos 2 jaugeurs Alain Bujeaud et Vivien Lucienne afin de mieux comprendre les impacts des évolutions soumises au vote.
Le Conseil de la 505 Class donne son avis à titre d’information, mais chaque propriétaire reste libre de voter comme il le souhaite.

Je tiens à remercier tous les propriétaires de 505 qui ont participé au vote sur l’évolution de la Jauge.
Le chiffre de la participation est tout à fait honorable puisqu’il atteint 67%. Nous avons donc eu 57 votants.
Les résultats français sont les suivants :
•Proposition 1 : 4 oui, 52 Non, 1 abstention
•Proposition 2 : 9 oui, 46 Non
•Proposition 3 : 9 oui, 46 Non
•Proposition 4 : 9 oui, 46 Non
A titre de comparaison, nous avons eu les résultats américains que voici :
•Proposal 1: 38 FOR, 17 AGAINST
•Proposal 2: 23 FOR, 32 AGAINST
•Proposal 3: 20 FOR, 35 AGAINST
•Proposal 4: 16 FOR, 39 AGAINST
Nous vous tiendrons informés des résultats internationaux

Proposed Amendment – delete exiting B 5.3.1 and replace with B 5.3.1 as follows:
Along the centreline from stem to transom a flat keel-band shall project not less than 3.0mm and not more than 4.5mm from the surface of the hull (with keelband removed), except in the area 50mm in front and 400mm aft of the forward edge of the centreboard slot the keel-band shall project not less than 3.0mm and not more than 6.0mm from the surface of the hull (with keelband removed). The keel-band may be rounded to a radius of not more than 3mm.

Proposed Amendment - delete exiting B 5.6.3 and replace with B 5.6.3 as follows:
Thwarts or other stiffening or reinforcing members may be fitted across the hull within 3581mm of Station 11. These members shall not be constructed in such a manner as to form a second cockpit floor or an additional buoyancy chamber except additional buoyancy at the transom is allowed within 250mm from station 11. This additional buoyancy at the transom must be separated from the seat tanks by watertight bulkheads which are positioned as a projection of the seat tanks towards the transom.
