"Bonjour Jean-Baptiste
we have moved our production to XSP who have their factory at Batam island in indonesia. The company (XSP) is based in Singapore but uses the Indonesian factory to produce all their boats. They build approximately 500 boats per year incl 420s 29ers and optimists as well as sport cruisers. They are making fremantle 505s under license to us using the same molds that we used for our Australian production. We built 17 505s from these molds in australia but as production costs rose due to wages and relatively low volumes we decided to shift production to a low cost but high quality facility. The result should be a far cheaper but equally high quality craft that can compete commercially with the production boats of RS etc but with the additional advantage of having the best international competition outside the Olympics!
Cheers
Matt"
